Aleksandra Dulic and Kenneth Newby founded Flicker Art Collabratory, an organization that produces independent new media works. She actively collaborates with artists from various disciplines: composers such as Keith Hamel, Martin Gotfrit, Dorothy Chang, Lan Tung, Michael O'Neill, Boyd Seiichi Grealy and I Wayan Sudirana; dancers and choreographers: Jessica Jone, Chenxing Wei, Henry Daniel, and Jennifer Mascal; theatre artists: Andreas Kahre and Sutrisno Hartana; and shadow play artist: Eko Purnomo.

Aleksandra is an Associate Professor in the Creative Studies Department at UBC, Director of the Centre for Culture and Technology at UBCO and Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Arts, University of Belgrade. In 1998 Aleksandra received a BFA from the Fine Art University of Belgrade, a MFA from the School for the Contemporary Arts in 2000 and a Ph.D. from the School of Interactive Art and Technology in 2006 from Simon Fraser University where she was working as a faculty member from 2000 to 2005. Her doctoral dissertation entitled Fields of Interaction: From Shadow Play Theatre to Media Performance, is a cross-cultural study of the emerging practice of interactive and performative media art. One of the outcomes of her doctoral research is a set of compositional tools for live animated performance. Her PhD research supervisors are Dr. Ron Wakkary, Dr. Laura Marks and Martin Gotfrit. Dr Dulic, in collaboration with Kenneth Newby and Martin Gotfrit, worked on a research project entitled Computational Poetics (SSHRC). The focus of this project is the articulation of an aesthetics of digital art performance and the development of a tool-set to enable artists working in the computational medium to create, present and document their work. She was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Media and Graphics Interdisciplinary Centre, University of British Columbia working with Dr. Keith Hamel on a research project entitled An intelligent instrument: composition, structure and improvisation in visual music, for which she received two year research funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. She has presented and published her writings on new media at a variety of conferences and journals. Aleksandra has an active artistic practice. She conducted graduate seminars in Computational Poetics at the Belgrade Fine Arts University's Interdisciplinary Post-Graduate Program in Polymedia since 2005 as well as workshops in Performance Media at the Indonesian National Academy of Arts (ISI) in Solo, Central Java 2005. Aleksandra is a co-founder of the New Forms Media Society and has served as a curator for the New Forms Festival.
